Eating Healthy with Hugabug Bowls Huggabugg products
Hi there! It's nice to meet you.
I'm Crystal, and I write for Hugabugg's brand-new blog. We'll be focused on all facets of healthy eating and nutrition for toddlers and babies, and we're pumped that you're here!
Healthy eating habits and nutrition affect physical, mental and social development in children. To get started, let's jump right in with three of my favorite statistics:
- In today's times, nearly 1 of 3 children in America is obese. Obesity is capable of harming nearly every system in a child’s body, and can also take a social and emotional toll.
- An infant is born with all the brain cells he or she will ever have; however, they aren't connected. Nutrition plays a huge role in helping those brain cells make over 1,000 trillion connections.
- 24% of children are more likely to eat healthy foods if their family eats at least three meals together each week, according to a recent numbers-based survey of American families.
These statistics are exactly why paying close attention to your children's food habits early on can have big implications on your child's health later.
You know how children like to mimic their parents? They will also mimic how you eat, so make sure you have good eating habits. Our blog will feature tons of tips to help, so no worries - we've got you covered!
We hope you'll continue following us. Send a note to Crystal@hugabugg.com with any questions, suggestions or comments. See you soon!
